Centre for Social Entrepreneurship (CSE) is a rapid business incubator that was established at the Durban University of Technology in 2015 at ML Sultan campus, funded by Small Enterprise Development Agency to develop and support small businesses within Durban surroundings.
The purpose of the centre is to infuse creativity into the entrepreneurial mindset of students and external communities. By identifying problems that could be addressed using creative solutions for key socio-economic challenges such as high levels of unemployment, inequality and poverty.
Igniting entrepreneurship using innovative
strategies in order to address socio-economic challenges and create a fair and just society.
To commit to developing and promoting
sustainable entrepreneurship through
mentorship and strategies partnerships with industry, government, community and other educational institutions.

INCUBATION PROGRAMME
The Incubation Programme will run for 12 months and offers selected SMME’s incubation support as well as access to a pool of experts who will provide advisory support and guidance for the entrepreneurs to fast-track their business development and growth.
It is a fast-paced entrepreneurship programme which requires participants to be committed and be willing to action rapid business turnaround or re-engineering or business strategies and solutions which can produce results over a short-period of time.
